Experience plan overview
This immersive program includes a visit to the Monument To the Origin of Miyamizu, Nishinomiya Shrine, followed by a tasting of exceptional sake at SakuraMasamune Memorial Hall, Sakuraen. You will begin at Miyamizu Garden, where wells of the sacred water known as Miyamizu are clustered, followed by a visit to to the Monument To the Origin of Miyamizu. You will then proceed to Nishinomiya Shrine, revered nationwide for the deity of fortune, to experience Nada’s sake brewing history and ties to Shinto rituals. At SakuraMasamune Memorial Hall, Sakuraen, learn about traditional brewing techniques and the historical culture behind them through precious historical footage and exhibits. Finally, there is a tasting of SakuraMasamune’s curated labels at their sake bar Sanbaiya.
An optional course at the hall’s restaurant features sake pairings featuring teppan-grilled Kobe beef and SakuraMasamune’s finest sake, brewed to complement meals as true food-pairing sake.

Travel to SakuraMasamune Memorial Hall, Sakuraen, and watch video footage of sake brewing in the second-floor exhibition room while engaging with staff.

- Exploring Sites and Shrines Deeply Connected to Nada’s Sake Brewing
- Nada’s sake brewing has been recognized as a Japan Heritage site and is the nation’s premier sake region. In addition to experiencing SakuraMasamune’s contributions to sake development and technical innovation, visit the concentration of wells and monuments in Nishinomiya City where Miyamizu̶discovered by SakuraMasamune’s sixth-generation head̶originated. Then worship at Nishinomiya Shrine, which houses the Umenomiya Shrine dedicated to the sake deity that has been deeply revered by Nada Gogo brewers for generations.

- Entry to Miyamizu Garden and the monument grounds is not permitted (viewing from outside only).
