This immersive program offers an opportunity to learn about the history and geography of Kotohira, Kagawa--a place of faith known for pilgrimages since the Edo period--and the traditional sake brewing of Nishino Kinryo, continuing for over 230 years. Guests will interact with brewers while savoring exquisite sake.
At Camphor Tree Plaza, the courtyard of Kinryo no Sato on the Kotohira-gu Shrine's approach, you'll deepen your knowledge of sake, including brewing processes and differences from wine, before touring the museum with brewers who will explain Kinryo's dedication and methods. At the adjacent cultural hall, Shiro Sakai, Nishino Kinryo's master brewer (*1), will share insights into brewing philosophy and the brewers' spirituality. A tasting of Kinryo's finest sake is also included, where you'll experience the profound world of sake through all five senses, enjoying each label's distinctive character and rich aromas.

At the cultural hall, traditional sake brewing is explained through kamishibai“paper theater.”Master brewer Sakai shares Kinryo sake's characteristics and the spirit of sake brewing (*1).*1 Mr. Sakai may be unavailable during busy periods or depending on the schedule.
