Highlights and Details of Each Plan
- Private Bath from Okudogo Onsen
- Okudogo Onsen springs from the mountains about 4 km away from the center of Dogo Onsen. The famous alkaline simple sulfur spring at Sendan, known as a beauty bath, draws its water from Okudogo Onsen, which is stored in two stone baths. And since it is a private bath, you can enjoy bathing without any worries. Enjoy a relaxing moment for your body and mind while taking in the soft sulfurous scent of Okudogo Onsen, the scent of the cypress used in the bathtub frames, and the sounds of the murmuring Ishite River.
- Heartfelt Hospitality
- Sendan values the changing of the seasons, which is at the heart of Japanese aesthetics, and the hospitality that is attuned to the guests. The seasonal atmosphere and spirit of hospitality can be felt not only in the kaiseki cuisine and tableware, but also in the flower arrangements in the tokonoma alcove, hanging scrolls, and other furnishings. From welcoming you and cultural exchange to seeing you off, the proprietress and staff will provide you with attentive service and genuine smiles, allowing you to relax both physically and mentally.
- Ehime's Food Culture and Traditional Kaiseki Cuisine
- The essence of Sendan lies in its traditional Japanese kaiseki cuisine, which uses carefully prepared stock and values the rich flavor of the ingredients and the colors of the seasons. There are 10 dishes on offer, mainly seasonal, such as a plate of fresh sashimi arranged in the shape of a flatfish boat, a high-rise plate filled with seafood and mountain delicacies, such as grilled sea bream, Ehime's prefectural fish, and chestnuts simmered in their skins. Be sure to check out the Kyoto ware, Wajima lacquerware, and other pottery and antiques carefully selected and collected by the proprietress.
